From number of major fashion countries to other fascinating places, Aspen, Africa, England, Spain, etc. Ralph Lauren seems to really enjoy his career out of destination collections and he loves to look anywhere for inspiration. If Spain and Latin America were the destinations for Spring 2013, and the romance of Russia took place for Fall 2013, then it comes as no surprise that the Ralph Lauren girl would travel (once again) for Resort 2014. This time, the collection has us dreaming of Paris.
Thanks to the presence of wrap tops, loose skirts, camisoles, and leggings, the collection shows a parade of a vaguely ballerina-inspired feel, taking place, more specifically, at a jaunt to Opéra de Paris, where the city of love’s famous ballets are staged. Moreover, set in a simple palette of pink, lavender, and white, the selections also offer flirty romantic femininity, showcasing plenty of chic and sleek black pieces, evoking the elegance of any truly well-dressed Parisian woman.
And to complement the collection into a classy hint at femme fatale sex appeal, the shows end on an opulent note with a series of high evening dresses. This time around, the designer opted out of beads, sequins, and lace, while a few looks were topped off with the symbolic Parisian chapeau of a side-leaning beret.
