Focusing on plus size daywear staples, the Anna Scholz Black Label collection is exclusively proposed in fresh urban, funky, and youthful designs as well as at a lower price than the premium White Label mainline. And recently the celebrated designer has launched her Black Label Fall Winter 2013 collection featuring this season’s must-have trends such as military looks, animal prints, leather statements, dark and mundane colors, as well as fabulous trenches and coats perfect for the cold days.
This collection is a truly complete proposal, so beautifully fluid and eye-catching showcasing number of urban classics that are transformed in fresh colors and through fashion-forward shaping. For the lookbook pictorials, inspired by the life of New York City the images were shot in the Meatpacking District in Manhattan, as here, Anna Scholz also enlisted the help of beautiful models Clemintine Desseaux and Denise Bidot to bring the collection to perfection.
The edgier vibe of this collection comes out in neutral black and white shades with a little pops of color that really make Anna’s pieces stand out. There’s lace work, beautiful tapestry and houndstooth prints, a long coat in grey animal prints paired with fabulous ankle boots in matching prints, as well as the military inspired ponte knit pieces including a peplum dress in olive that is amazingly gorgeous. Not to mention, the moto jackets in black, the wool coats with faux leather detail and even a top with a bat print, and just enough magenta to crack a smile onto the face of a very serious color palette, surely it’s great to see a designer using prints in great colors that are not seen often.
All in all, for everything showcased in this collection, the gorgeous pieces, the lookbook pictorials, and even the models, they do a wonderful job of showcasing Anna’s proposals and staying true to the New York slash New Noir vibe.
