Posing against a plain white setting with a touch of gray for the high-end Italian label Gucci’s Spring Summer 2013 ad campaign, two female muses, Anja Rubik and Karmen Pedaru alongside French male model Clément Chabernaud, replace the cool nineties glamour of Amber Valetta, as they bring back the minimalist aesthetic of a seventies vibe, masterfully lensed as usual by the duo fashion photographer Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Bold, lush and confident are definitely three words perfect to describe the spirit of this campaign. And by giving effect mixing touches high preference by the blocks of color, Gucci shows clearly a natural approach recalling the label’s glorious campaign from the 90′s, as well sending the nostalgic mood of yesteryears that got everyone the most excited.
As the girls gone with the highly stylized ad campaigns, wearing the label’s selections in simple palette of singular colors and silhouette shone through, Clément sports structured men suits also in simple yet striking designs. Under the styling art of Camilla Nickerson, both female models don several glamorous, Mediterranean-inspired collection, featuring tunics, bold prints, flounces, and solid brights, while Clément showcases some of the latest sunglasses and eyeglasses, combining lightweight frames with acetate shapes, embellished with metallic details.
