Miu Miu debuts their Fall Winter 2013 ad campaign images and short film, featuring bold pictorials that evoke a spirit of adventure and daring. In a fabricated reality of noir optimism, the images capture a diverse and exhilarating cast of characters including Katlin Aas, Emily DiDonato, Daphne Groeneveld, Georgia May Jagger, Adriana Lima, Marina Nery, Hind Sahli, Anne Verhallen and Lindsey Wixson, who don number of selections that stay consistent with the elongated silhouettes and lady-like garments.

The campaign captures the passage of girls in a twilight cinema-scape loaded with intrigue, imagination and femininity. Focusing heavily on color and proportion with a mid-century vibe, it was clear that Miuccia Prada’s muse was Olive Oyl from the classic cartoon, “Popeye”, as we can see some sailor details and pop patterns through the collection, which all make sense for the creative duo, Inez & Vinoodh, to create a boat setting to complete this French style voyage. While the mixture of playful stripes and polka dots gave this dark muted campaign a moody cartoon appeal, keeping it classic yet fun.

As for the new Fall Winter 2013 collection, the selections come with such adorable splashes of vivid color and bold patterns, showing a modern sensibility, laced with humor and vitality. There are polka dots and stripes patterns that envelop sharply tailored suits, wide shouldered coats, stockings and crisp neckerchiefs, while vital pinks, neon orange, pastels and inky blacks interact in a palette of unconventional vibrancy evoking effortless confidence. From these curious rendezvous materializes the idiosyncratic sense of adventure that encapsulates this unique and unpredictable collection.

In the new campaign video, set at the end of a seaside pier against a mysterious cityscape and vanishing horizon, the Miu Miu models are showing off their personalities through an up-tempo quirky dance moves as they interact harmoniously with the rhythm and the mood of the music that they have with one another. In between dancing scenes, each model holds up a sign with her name on it, while at the end of the video, it ends by showing silhouettes of the models all together before the screen goes black.
